What are we writing for?We will write for the artists at the camp, fresh leads and briefs we collected from industry professionals looking for specific songs.

Why would I want to be part of this?This is a great opportunity to collaborate with other professional songwriters, grow your co-writing skills, expand your international network, and write and score a successful release. It's also a way to get noticed by industry professionals, potentially leading to more writing sessions, camps, and even getting signed.

What level of expertise is required to join the Durbuy Music Camps?Our camps maintain an industry-level quality standard. To ensure high-quality output, applicants are carefully reviewed and selected based on this criterion.

What's the price to participate in a camp?Early birds tickets for each writing camp start at €799,- and normal admission will be €899,-. VAT incl. After your participation is confirmed, we will send an invoice.

How can I make the retreat more affordable?Most authors or copyrights organization offer grants for authors participating songwriting initiatives to cover their costs.

What happens to the songs after the camps?Some writers may want to release a song for their artist project, others will choose to pitch the song themselves to other artists or purposes. Songs written for special industry needs will be sent to the right places. We will also help by sending open songs to our network of music professionals and A&R’s in the music industry.

What output is expected from a writing session?We expect 1 strong song from every writing session, each day. The song must sound good enough to pitch it to professionals, as it will compete between other excellent produced songs.

What should I bring to the camp?Our camps are designed to be all inclusive for your convenience. We suggest that you bring what you would normally bring on any hotel stay trip (ie. clothing, toiletries, etc.). We encourage you to bring your laptop and headphones to work on the production and mixing. Our studios has a large offer of instruments on site, thanks to our gear room but you can also bring your favourite instrument. Lastly, don't forget your open-mind and your creativity!

Are the rooms shared?We encourage shared rooms for the benefit of collaboration and community engagement. But you may upgrade your package to include a private room if you wish, at an additional cost of 175€ VAT incl.
