Derrière ce tout nouveau projet, l'envie d'un frontman habitué à travailler en meute, Quentin Maquet, multi-instrumentiste liégeois de 35 ans et tête-pensante du groupe Dalton Telegramme. Sans aucunement abandonner ses troupes ni clôturer le projet, il s'échappe en solitaire via un projet qu'il veut plus personnel, souple et organique.   Bérode qui traîne dans sa tête depuis des mois naît comme il est imaginé. En toute quiétude, toute simplicité et à la maison, dans un petit studio de campagne où on entendrait presque le frigo se refermer, les enfants jouer dans le jardin, le vent s'engouffrer dans les embrasures.   Le premier ambassadeur se nomme "Lâcher l'échelle", parfaite illustration de cette chanson-folk en français chaleureuse et incarnée. Comme une envie de balade en forêt profonde et d'arrêt au bord du lac pour faire le point. 

RAMAN.

RAMAN. is a band with raw emotions, no nonsense guitar sounds and melancholic instrumental interludes. Their honest rock'n roll - with always a foot in the blues and roots soil - and the high pitched voice of Simon Raman grab you from the first notes. And hold on to it until the end of their compact live set.

The music starts somewhere in the backstreets of Ghent, an internalisation of frontman Simon Raman. 

He brings a sensitive sound and idem ditto haunting songs. The back-to-basics allure results in a raw but soulful sound that is reminiscent of older souls such as Chris Whitley, Jeff Buckley and Triggerfinger. Alternating between acoustic and electric, hard from the heart.
